About

Who we are

From shade sails to architectural systems.

iConical began with shade sails — custom tensioned structures for Queensland homes, schools and venues. Over 25 years we mastered the discipline that commercial shade demands: certified engineering, honest materials and installation that outlives the warranty.

Today we are turning that discipline toward a new generation of products — architectural umbrellas, modular arrays, tensile canopies and louvered outdoor rooms. The same crew, the same facility, a sharper point of view: shade that reads as architecture.

Every structure leaves our Gold Coast workshop fully documented — certified engineering drawings, footing designs and care instructions. No guesswork, no surprises on site.

What we believe

Three values, applied daily.

01

Honesty

Certified engineering, transparent pricing and straight answers about what a structure will and will not do.

02

Integrity
We build to the drawings. Every weld, fixing and seam is specified — and delivered — to commercial standards.

03

Innovation
From interactive 3D specification to modular systems that grow with your footprint, we build the future of shade.

How we work

Design and construct, end to end.

One accountable team from first sketch to final tensioning — nothing lost between designer, engineer and installer.

01

Consult
We start on site or in plan — understanding the space, the sun path, wind exposure and how people will use it.

01

Design & Engineer
Concept renders evolve into certified engineering documentation, footings and specifications.

01

Manufacture
Frames are cut, welded and coated; membranes cut and welded in our Gold Coast facility.

01

Install & Handover
Our installation crew sets the structure, tensions the membrane and hands over full care documentation.
